Lee Mack

Lee was a key performer in the BAFTA winning The Sketch Show (ITV1), which ran for two series; he then worked alongside Kelsey Grammer in an American version of The Sketch Show; he wrote and starred in two series of the Sony Radio Award nominated, The Lee Mack Show (BBC Radio 2); hosted They Think It's All Over (BBC ONE); and headlined on Jack Dee Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE).

Lee is also an acclaimed live performer. In 2005 Lee won the Best Stand-Up award at the Loaded LAFTAS. He has also previously received a nomination for the Perrier Award, and won a Time Out Best Live Comedy Award.

 
 
 
 

Rich Hall

Rich Hall, the grouchy, deadpan, comic genius.

Rich is a master of absurdist irony while eschewing the human condition. He particularly likes to lay into Americans and life across the Pond at every opportunity.

He is well known in the United States for appearing and writing on The David Letterman Show - for which he won an Emmy Award.

In 1998, Rich Hall created the character Otis Lee Crenshaw, a redneck jailbird from Tennessee, who has been married seven times, all to women named Brenda. A singer-songwriter, Otis writes bourbon-soaked, Tom Waitsian tunes and blends this with audience banter, producing a perfect fusion of music and comedy.

Rich Hall is Otis Lee Crenshaw won the highly prestigious Perrier Award - the Oscars for Comedy in Britain.

In the United States Rich Hall has appeared on The David Letterman Show and Saturday Night Live. In the UK, Rich has appeared on: Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Jack Dee's Sunday Service and Edinburgh Nights.



 
 
 
 

Ed Byrne

Ed Byrne is a household name in Ireland, his Edinburgh and Melbourne shows always sell out, his DVD's are amogst the biggest selling in the world of comedy and he has die hard fans everywhere. Its easy to see why. His fast pace delivery, razor sharp timing and his affable manner make his stand up shows, engaging, entertaining and of course bloody funny!

Most people leave the theatre with the remark "I could listen to him for hours!"

Ed also loves Meribel and wooshing (his words) down the mountain. He will be here towards the end of the festival for a solo show and some guest appearences.





 
 
 
 

Marcus Brigstocke

A co-founder of the Altitude Festival, Marcus started his comedy career at Bristol University where, alongside Danny Robins and Dan Tetsell (of We Are History / Club Seals fame), he performed stand up and character shows and soon won the BBC New Comedian of 1996.

He has since emerged as a major comedy, writing and acting talent, performing in the UK and beyond and has become a regular voice on BBC Radio with an impressive list of TV and film credits.
